Now former mayor, Tracy Craig, gives his last thoughts before handing the seat to Wesey Lyon
During a special session for the City of Mount Pleasant on Wednesday, May 14, a new mayor was sworn in, as well as a new council member and a current one.
Wesley Lyon II gave his oath as the new mayor after the May 3 election results were approved. Melanie Knight was sworn in, as council member in Place Two, and Debbie Corbell won her race against Trey Baker and kept her council seat in Place One.
