On Saturday, around 1 p.m., a Ford pickup truck caught fire on Highway 49 in front of First Baptist Church. Mount Pleasant Fire Department’s Central A-Shift responded and was able to extinguish the flames. The fire caused extensive damage to the engine and cab of the truck. PHOTO BY JUSTIN HARGROVE
