On Monday, Mid America Pet Food announced its acquisition of Nature’s Logic, a manufacturer that offers premium natural, whole food pet products.

MAPF says that welcoming Nature’s Logic to their family of brands allows them the opportunity to maintain focus on their mission of delivering high-quality, reliable pet nutrition uniquely designed to foster a healthy and active life for pets.

Nature’s Logic becomes the third brand now owned by MAPF, joining VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food and Eagle Mountain Pet Food. Each of these brands brings unique benefits to pet parents and their loyal companions.

VICTOR food begins with carefully selected ingredients, to ensure the best possible animal nutrition. “We ensure that every formula is fresh, consistent and packed with nutrition. And the result is visible: healthy, better-performing pets that can keep on running day after day, season after season. VICTOR dog food formulas have received 4 and 5-star ratings with the respected, independent online dog food reviewer, Dog Food Advisor. The brand offers 20 dry varieties, three types of all-natural treats, and five flavors of grain-free wet food.

Eagle Mountain Pet Food provides one recipe designed to provide complete quality nutrition for dogs at a value for pet families. Eagle Mountain Pro Balance is available in 30lb and 40lb bags.

In 2005, Nature’s Logic founder, Scott Freeman, started developing the concept for a pet food focusing on the benefits of whole food nutrition without the use of added synthetic supplements which are widely used in the pet food industry to meet the nutritional analytical levels of dog and cat foods.

Freeman launched Nature’s Logic in 2006 after a lifetime interest in the husbandry of animals, starting on his Grandfather’s ranch in east Texas caring for his cows. Nature’s Logic has provided him with the satisfaction of creating a pet diet that is 100% all-natural using only whole food ingredients.

Freeman worked with a long-time veterinarian to create the perfect formulas, and since nothing like this had ever been created, he sent the dry dog and cat food for AAFCO feeding trials to have them substantiated for All Life Stages. They passed without any problems and since then the canine canned and raw diets have also been substantiated for All Life Stages. The ultimate goal of Nature’s Logic is to provide the most nutritious and safest product that people can feel good about feeding their canine and feline family.

David Yaskulka joined Nature’s Logic as CEO in 2019 after three decades of executive experience growing socially responsible businesses in the pet, health and sustainability industries.
