Main Street Bakery began in the 1980’s in Daingerfield as a small cafe where Walter and Laura Bass sold the cheesecakes that Laura baked at home. They delivered as far away as Longview and Shreveport.
On an unassuming day, Robin Croley walked in with a baby on her hip and said, “I need a job. I’m going to get one today. If you don’t give me one, I’ll go somewhere else and get one.”
