Just after midnight on May 30, Mount Pleasant Police Department officers responded to the scene of a crash in the 1100 block of South Jefferson Avenue. Initial investigation into the accident indicated that a 2019 Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound when it crossed into oncoming southbound traffic, hitting a 2015 Ford Escape head-on.
