Winter Coat Drive The colder weather is upon us and there are many in our community in need of warm clothing. In response to these needs, The Light Ministries of NE Texas and We Are Mt.
Pleasant are partnering to put on a Winter Coat Drive. If you want to help by donating winter coats, hats, scarves, thermals and/or socks we would greatly appreciate your efforts. MPAS Art Classes Scheduled
Mount Pleasant Art Society will conduct Basic Drawing and Painting Classes on Tuesday evenings, January 17 through March 7, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, at 5059 FM 1402 (Harts Bluff Road). The Registration Fee of $40.00 is due by January 10th and includes the initial class and allsupplies. Classfeeis $20.00 thereafter, payable at beginning of each session.
Registration fee is nonrefundable. Class size is limited to ensure optimum experience for the beginning or inexperienced artist. No drawing or painting experience necessary. Paint-Along Time at MPAS The Art Society is sponsoring Paint-Along Time on Tuesday, February 7, from 2 to 4 PM at the Art Society, 5059 FM 1402 (Harts Bluff Road). The two-hour informal session, led by award-winning Mount Vernon artist, Velda Williams, is for any level artist and is designed to follow the stepby- step process leading to a completed painting. The cost of $45.00 includes supplies.

Williams is an accomplished artist, experienced in all mediums, conducts workshops and k has exhibited locally at the Mount Pleasant Library, Whatley Center, and the Gallery at Mount Pleasant Art Society. The February 5th MPAS meeting at 2:00 features a professional painting demonstration, refreshments, and a Small Gallery display by MPAS member, Diana Williams. MPAS has additional information on Facebook.

Beekeepers Meeting Caddo Trace Beekeepers Association will have its regular monthly meeting Monday, February 13, 2023, in the Agri-Life Building at 1708 Industrial Road in Mt.
Pleasant.
Jesse Wright will have his question/answer session starting at 6:30 pm, and the meeting will start at 7:00 pm. Our February speaker will be Roger Farr. He will be speaking on Nicot Queen Rearing Method and making splits. The public is invited to attend.
