The Child Development Center in Mt. Pleasant is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year. The CDC serves children 0-5 years old in high quality preschool classrooms, as well as pregnant mothers. Please stop by the Child Development Center at 1602 West Ferguson Road to pick up an application and make an appointment. Applications may also be printed at www. mpisd.net/cdc/. The CDC serves Titus County children from 6:30 am-5:30 am Monday-Friday.

Free Guitar Instruction Workshop
Mark Hamre - Guitarist will present a Free Guitar Instruction Workshop for Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced players on Saturday, October 1, 2022, 1:00 pm at Jo’s Downtown, 102 N Jefferson, Mount Pleasant,Texas. New and beginning guitar players will learn essential basic skills and knowledge to improve their playing. Intermediate and advanced players will learn key skills to keep improving their guitar playing and broaden their musical experience.
Beginner – Newbie Guitar Workshop 1:00 pm. Bring your guitar. Instruction material provided free. Learn what you must know to get started and keep improving in your playing. Get your questions answered and have fun playing some new music. Intermediate to Advanced GuitarWorkshop 2:00 pm. Bring your guitar. Learning material provided free. Learn the essential steps to moving forward in your playing whatever level you are at. Will present tools to improve your chord, scale, theory, and mode knowledge and skill.
Q & A is always a fun part of this learning process.

David Elliott Lodge # 364 Pancake Fundraiser
David Elliott Lodge is holding a Pancake Fundraiser on October 8th, 2022, from 8:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Lodge in Omaha to assist the Lodge in providing support to tits community activities such as scholarships and other charitable activities. Come out with your neighbors for a good breakfast and socializing with other community members while assisting the Masons of Omaha to raise funds for activities in the community.
Sugarhill Community Center Annual Fall Festival
Sugarhill Community Center will hold their annual fall festival on October 8 at 5 p.m. There will be a stew & chili supper (adults $10, Children 6-12 $5, Children 3 and under free), Bingo, Auction, Silent Auction, Gun Raffle, Old Fashioned Carnival Games.
Hunter Education Classroom Course (Class #1373146)
Northeast Texas NWTF Chapter is hosting a Hunter Education Class October 8 at The Pine Roost, 433 CR 1765, Mt. Pleasant, TX.

This course, open to all hunters ages 9 years and older, includes 6 hours instruction plus lunch. Topics: firearms hunting and safety, hunting ethics, and wildlife conservation.
