On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Chapel Hill student Jack Heavner placed 5th at the UIL Congress Speech and Debate State Meet. 60 3A competitors would qualify for the State Meet and Chapel Hill’s own Jack Heavner would take home the 5th place medal! He received ranks of 1, 2, 9, 9, and 6 to finish placing 5th in the entire State! This is Jack’s second State Medal! Jack and the entire speech and debate program is coached by Mr. Cody Morris.
