On Thursday, May 2, slivers of sunshine broke through dreary clouds as Mt. Pleasant residents gathered on the northern steps of the Titus County Courthouse for the National Day of Prayer. Priests from several different parishes stepped to the microphone to offer prayers for families, military, schools, children, and local businesses.
