McGill holds the reins for 2017-18 Tigers
History is there for the making as the Mount Pleasant Tigers look to repeat as district champs following their undefeated district championship season a year ago.
Senior point guard Josh McGill has held the reins for the Tigers the past two seasons and holds a 46-16 record as a starter.
McGill has not only led the team in assists, but is also top-two in steals, as his defense has been a catalyst for the Tigers. He is also the top shot blocking guard on the team.
Leadership by example is a key for the Tigers’ success, and Josh embodies that concept on a daily basis. Being the first one on the court and the last one to leave, you can find him putting up shots and working on his ball handling most days in the gym.
The Tigers get their first game action this weekend with scrimmages at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. in Emory Rains. Their first regular season game will be Friday, Nov. 17 at home versus Greenhill.
