Stephen Johnson passed away on July 15, 2019 in Mount Pleasant, at the age of 65. He was born on July 21, 1953 in Wentachee, Washington to Joseph Johnson and Naomi Hunsaker Johnson.
Steve was a musician and played bass for the band Doctor Doctor for
a number of years.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Jenae Johnson of Rowlette, Texas; son, Zach Johnson of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Sara Johnson and Ryan Johnson; sisters, Carolyn Tarman of Greeley, Colorado and Kathryn Harvey and husband Bob of Katy, Texas; nephew and spouse, Chris and Tania Tarman; niece and spouse, Kelly and Rich Carrol; niece and spouse, Erin and Kyle Moyer; and nephew, Colin Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held for Steve at a later date.

Drum Major, and several other organizations. During her last semester of High School, Peggy married the love of her life, Bill Lakey, and they had 3 children, Elizabeth, Kimberley, and Philip. The family enjoyed a wonderful life together until his passing in 1996.
Peggy served as a medical laboratory technician until she retired from a lengthy career. She is of Baptist faith and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing dominoes, crossword puzzles, and bowling. Peggy was known as a caretaker to all that knew her. She is known as Mimi to her grandchildren and treasured her moments spent with family and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lakey, in 1996; her parents; one daughter, Elizabeth Wommack, two brothers, Jack Wood and Phil Wood; and one sister, Beverly Wrenn.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Steve Waters of Center, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Aimee Lakey of Buda, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Mathews, Christopher Wesp, Michael Wesp, Kaitlyn Wommack, Mikayla Wommack, and Phoebe Lakey; six great-grandchildren, Braiden Miller, Kendall Miller, Evelyn Wesp, Catherine Wesp, Atalee Wesp, and Ryleigh Wesp; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Bro. Keith Lauter officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization of choice.
His hobbies included working in his yard and fishing.
Mr. Agan is survived by his wife Roxie Hutson Agan of Mt Pleasant, Sons; Steve Agan and wife Cathy of Mt Pleasant, Brad Agan and wife Kim of Mt Pleasant, Rocky Agan and wife Anna of Frisco, Randy Agan and wife Liz of Vernon, TX., Grandchildren; Matthew Agan, Jennifer Agan Hatfield, Bryan and Stefanie Heintz, Kristan Crawford and husband Jody, Britt Agan, PFC Ryan Agan US Army, Marshall Agan and wife Cara, Madison Agan and Jace Weigle, Megan Agan and Josh Shidler, Great Grandchildren; Canaan Hatfield, Fallon Hatfield, Farran Hatfield, Adalyn Heintz, Brayden Heintz, Heath Crawford, Bradley Crawford, William Shidler, Liam Shidler, Brother in law; Michael Irvin of CT, Sister in law; Sandy Agan of Mt Pleasant and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parent, brother; Bob Agan and Sister; Judy Irvin.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel with Bro Bill Whitaker officiating, burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Monday, July 22, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m.. Family request donations to be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, St Jude Children’s Hospital or Gideons.
