Peter John Von Sivers was born in Riga, Latvia August 2, 1935 and after a long illness, passed thru the veil to his Heavenly Home on August 18th, 2017. Von Sivers came to America in 1956, served in the US Air Force, worked for American Airlines; and then, for the FAA as an Avionics Inspector. He was a Ham radio operator for over 55 years, contacting most of the countries of the world. (WB6DOQ) He also enjoyed camping at Bodega Bay, CA. He is survived by his wife, Jette Von Sivers, of Castro Valley, CA; a sister, Isa Seeberg-Elverfeldt, of Germany; a daughter, Cathy Von Sivers, of Merced, CA; a son, Jim Monty and wife Linda of Mariposa, CA; a Daughter, Susan Phillips and husband Steve of Pittsburg, TX; a son, Robert Monty, of Mt Pleasant, TX; 7 Grandchildren: Jennifer Von Sivers of Madera, CA; Jaime Brasiel of Riverbank, CA; Carrie Biondi of Folsom, CA; Caitlin Phillips, of Orlando, FL; Eric Landeros of Columbia, MO; Casey Duke of Emory, TX; and David Monty of Bossier City, LA: 16 great grandchildren, various nephews and Nieces, family and friends. Von Sivers is preceded in death by his parents, Werner and Baroness Maria L. (Von Nolde) Von Sivers, a brother, Olaf Von Sivers, a sister, Gisela Lillig, and his first wife, Elizabeth McMinn Specht. A Memorial Service will be held under the direction of Jess C. Spencer Mortuary at Calvary Lutheran Church in San Lorenzo, CA on September 16, 2017.
