Lady Tigers ace pre-district test
This past Tuesday the Lady Tiger Volleyball team took on the Liberty Eylau Leopards. It was one of those games I had circled on my schedule. It was billed to be one of the biggest tests for the Lady Tigers heading into district play. The Tigers showed up prepared, having all the answers and breezed past the Leopards in 3 straight sets.
A simple toss of a coin would unbeknownst to everyone in attendance, tell us everything we needed to know, Tigers won and elected to serve. The first set would prove to be the most competitive of the night with the Tigers winning by a score of 25-21 with play going back and forth. The set would rage on until a quick 3 point run would concern the Tigers head coach Jeremy Stewart enough to call a timeout. The score sat at 12-10 in favor of Mount Pleasant. It is unclear what Coach Stewart said in that huddle but it seemed to do the trick. As the Tigers broke the huddle, they would catch fire going on an 8-1 run, seemingly putting the game out of reach.
